If not for their discount card and stamps, I wouldn't be able to afford a Dark once or twice a year.

We have to grow our own fruits and veggies, if you haven't heard, I make the Mrs farm the extra land. Sometimes I miss ol' MS....

Keep a flat shovel in the boot, for road kills, and had a lovely 'turkey' for TG Day........as a damn Coucal (crow-like) took out my passenger side mirror, though that road kill wasn't free, cost ฿300 to have new one glued back on.

That's what Quick Fried Wontons advised me over our 007, I mean, 7th beer in a lap dancing club at 2 am in Auckland. I had been trying to get introduced to someone at MI6 to join the MI6 crew based in Isan. Udon or Buriram would have been terrific. Quick Fried Wontons said the T 34 had said to the FBI that I was a bigger loon than 747man and totally unreliable. Bastard.

stamps: you get at least 1 stamp for each 50 baht you spend, more if you chose you products by the displayed stamp gain.
so 1 stamp for 50 baht is 2% discount. hmm not much but when you consider you struggle these days to get 2% earnings on all your cash deposits at banks, it makes sense to me to take it from the buying side as opposed to the income side.and yeah if you live here and havent got a 7 cash card like loki says, you are throwing more % away too. 7 cash cards are also very convenient to use, dont have to worry about change.
or searching for the right notes.
my philosophy is minimize expenditure as opposed to many who go for maximize income and blow it where ever possible.
hey i probably get just as much enjoyment out of a frugal good buy purchase as other with a different philosophy get from blowing all their income at a super luxury expendable item. that type of thing leave me cold.
but i still frequently give things away to people i dont even know or who look like a small give away would help them or make them happy, mostly to people who dont ask but are struggling through they lives. sometimes to people who ask and look like they really do need it.
i dont give to the monks but most thais do. get up earlier in the morning if you havent see this daily giving ceremony. have also seen monks giving handouts to desperate people, i also assume they disseminate there other gift likewise although i dont frequent wats so havent seen what happens
