Kho Kuhn Restaurant

Found this quiet, cool, nice little restaurant today.

Coming from Big C on the Ring Road, and headed to Tahan Road, take a right just before Tahan Road on the little road north of the plant nursery. Go all the way to the back -- no more than 50 yards -- and there's a nice little restaurant on the right.

Seating is ample. Service is great. Prices are good. Menu is limited to Thai food and Leo Yai is only 60 baht, so it is perfect for me. Fans, fans everywhere, and the music is perfect in volume and mood.

The owner is a Thai lady married to a foreigner.

I will be back this week!

NOTE: took some pictures, but haven't been able to locate them on the phone. Looks like a malfunction someplace. Just realized I didn't "save" the pics. New phone and not skillful with it yet.

NOTE 2: There is also an entrance from Tahan Road going toward the Ring Road. You'll make a left just before getting to the Ring Road intersection. Very handy from both high traffic areas.

jeeez...how did you even find this place? we really need some kind of appropriate acronym to
signify worthy staff of note in ... code. *****^^ hhmmnn ... along with relevant gps coordinates
or map ref. hhmmnn... how about POW! pretty-one-waitress sighting. it's just an idea, obviously
the enigma code must be further developed to describe a full array of conditions. *****^^

During my last visit at the US Embassy Outreach, a gentleman struck up a conversation with me. We talked about the usual things that retired people talk about, and our wives began talking as well. Eventually, we found out that they had a restaurant. We have been meaning to go for a long time, but decided to go yesterday since my wife is taking a week of her vacation time now.

Why do we need an acronym code? :D

Does UT have a map?

The wife and I found it while looking for flowers and shrubs and that quite some time ago. I concur with WBU Alum's assessment of the place.

"Udon Topograph" does have a nice ring to it. interestingly enough, a couple of years ago on my
first visit here, a girl at reception gave me a "topograph" of udon city. it was like a cartoonish
depiction, the size of a placemat, with landmarks and places of note, waterways and other features
out of scale but actually, amazingly useful for at a glance reference? i mean it showed hills and
figures in a kind of play 3-D? i'd have given anything to have saved it since...we need a topograph *****^^

Ah, that explains it.

My link comes directly to the forum, so I never see the home page. I'll have to go look.
