Farrang Bar in Nong Wua So
Don't get excited! There isn't one (yet)
But with the recent arrival of civilisation in the town, in the form of a 7-11. I wonder why has no one opened a small beer bar there?
There are certainly loads of Farrang in the area. Driving through Nong Wua So in the late afternoon I see little pockets of them meeting outside shops, on street corners. Anywhere they can find a seat in the shade. Non Wai same story. Loads of lost souls wandering around the market too.
Not to mention the surrounding area, which must be home to a few hundred Farrang from all over the world. I met a few Jerries, Swedes and Brits whom you probably all know.
Why has no one seized on the opportunity to amuse and quench the thirst of these ex-pats? A little beer bar with European/American sports on Telly and draught Chiang would surely go down a treat? (Beer Lao also of course)
No ladies mind, these blokes are all well and truly spoken for and you don't want the wives marking the place out of bounds.
WDYT??

But if I build it will you come? Need to gauge interest before the ball starts rolling. My Missus has a Katoey Cousin who is the build of a Rugby player. Should be perfect behind the bar and none of your other halves will suspect any hanky panky going on with him!merchant seaman wrote:Your idea, open a bar mike
Has a Frrang bar already been tried in Nong Wua So?

If you do not get a response here, you could always post on the darkside as you are a member there.I did have a quick butchers at the Non Wua Sor thread there, previously Swedish restaurant but no more, the local farang posting seem to think it would not be profitable
Best of luck

Heard conflicting reports. But I estimate 500 - 1000. Apparently this region has the fastest growing Expat population in Thailand.

5% of the total farang population as daily visitors in your bar, give it a try mate...
