Betel Leaf is located where Silver Spoon used to be, in SriThani housing area, just around the corner from Relax Place, where i was headed, till notice this location open again,and the 39 baht pork steak sign caught my eye. which i ordered, 39, Ree had a mekong fish thing, 80, and pork fried rice, add a bottle of water, and whopping 165 baht tab. nothing on the menu going to hurt the wallet, most less than 100 baht, a few, 120/180 depending how ordered. always recommend pointing to what you order, instead of telling them what you want, as mekong fish is on the menu quite a bit, and 1st bill had it listed as 180, honest mistake and corrected.

my pork steak was fine, hard to complain, the veggies and fries were, well, not hot. not sure if i would order again, as relax steak does a nice job with their pork steak/salad. but will return, as couple items on menu i like or would experiment with. the baked shrimp and glass noodles, 120 baht, caught my eye, we both like that. Ree gave a thumbs up on the mekong fish, and fried rice, well, is fried rice, though no surprises, so that's good, neither exceptional or bad.

Free WIFI is offered, and beers start at 65 for lg leo, hard to beat, coffee/tea/chocolate on menu for 15 baht, saw the bon cafe poster, but didn't see a coffee machine, so not sure. a pleasant setting, with soft background music and couple water things in courtyard for some more background ambiance. worth a visit for inexpensive munch, or sip and wifi, if in the area. if bored, simply read the menu, some very comical translations, or attempts, definitely the worst attempt i've seen, good for a chuckle.

They Come......They Go.....looked a good tidy place, not enough trade to go around i s'pose.

they didn't seem to give themselves much of a chance, as i noticed in february, and the lawn was overgrown, so guessing they left about sept, before the rains stopped. maybe something other reason besides profit margin................or as my pal Val would say........i gave them the kiss of death... )(*^^
