There is going to be a week long sporting event at Health & Fitness College located on the Ring Rd., going towards the airport.
I think the opening day ceremony will be this coming Saturday the 21st, at 2pm. The event will continue until the 30th.
The student competitors will come from all over Thailand.
Football, basketball, track & field, etc.
They've been upgrading the whole facility for a few months now in preparation for the event. They even filled in the old swimming pool with sand for one of my favorite spectator sports: Woman's Beach Volleyball ++)(* ! Bring yer own beer, it is a college after all .
I don't know what the schedule of events is. Perhaps, one of our Thai script readers can find it on a website?

Looks like this week long event will happen throughout the entire city. With only certain events taking place at the Health & Fitness College.
When I look at that poster, I see more than usual intolerable Udon traffic. :headbang:
