Bombay indian

Post by realbigmonkey »

Just noticed an update on Facebook , open on the 28th April and happy to note that they are very close to me and Pomp's. Just a 5 minute drive away.Yeehaaa no more having to make curries. What with the new turkish kebabs and now curry made by Indians the world is a better place. :D

Did find the FB and lost it again, needs placing in the thread, basically restaurant near Oishi in the large area next to Cellini, saw one photo, looked like a spicy soup :?: :o

Would expect prices fairly high due to its location, aircon, hopefully kingfisher beer and soothing indian music in the background for that genuine ambience  :D 8-)

Was hoping for menu info none yet, whether grab delivery not just takeaway and eat in 8-) Not seeing any indian chap photo :geek: maybe opening party will give us a clue,Primani in town run by indian chap from northern india so different indian styles would be lovely  to give food options and taste 8-)

Am sure member joepai is experienced in tasting indian food in Udon, either fantastic or crap/yuck would be his comment so shoots from the hip :D 8-)

Enjoyed Primani and think Hamlay also but DM did not enjoy so will just have to wait and see, personally had too many Indian foods in Blighty cooked by Bangladeshians  so get an indian chef to cook is a blessing :D 8-)

Presume Bombay Indian just a franchise, chef cannot be in udon and roi et at the sametime :o :D

I’m always dubious about places with obviously fake Google reviews. They shouldn’t need to bullshit the place up if it’s really as good as they say.
This place has got two 5 star Google reviews & hasn’t even opened yet 😳

Apparently this is their 5th restaurant in issan, maybe the review are from people who have eaten at one of the other outlets ? . yes prices and quality will simply determine if they will thrive . looking forward to taking the wife out.

Possibly but the reviews are still against a place that hasn’t even opened yet so it’s just bullshitting with maybe an ulterior motive of suppressing any less favourable reviews in the near future

Wouldn't be surprised , everything seems to be fake news and reviews nowadays

Oh it's opened just in time for the Hams arrival

We are fans of Primani, my daughter loves it and complains the Indian food in Qatar is not the same tase as theirs.
I always felt sorry for the guy as he opened what lots of people had been asking for and he hardly got any customers.

3 days to go......am impatiently waiting.

Got home late last night from the village. Wife decided she was staying over to talk to her mum (why she couldn't have announced that at least 4 hours earlier!!!!).
Anyway my daughter ordered up Primani on Food Panda and was delivered just after we got home.

Bit quite as good as we remembered it, but still did the job after a day on the farm drinking beer 🍺 😀 🙂🤠
