Mayweather v McGregor

Post by crazy_canuck » Tue Jul 18, 2017 3:34 pm

Anybody else following this circus? Mayweather's likely going to dance his way to a 50-0 record, but I'm finding it hard not to root for the underdog this time around. Doesn't help that Mayweather is generally a piece of shit IRL, whereas McGregor's antics are all part of 'the show'.

Not a huge Conor fan myself, but I can't deny the fact that he's constantly proving naysayers wrong....he's certainly winning the press conferences, Wembley was priceless. Should be an interesting fight either way. Any chance of a local watering hole showing the PPV?

This was a fun watch

I'd rather watch Hamlay and his sand wedge as he hits the dog shit over his fence and into his neighbour's garden. :)

I've been a fan of professional boxing since the days of black and white telecasts. Had a few amateur bouts in my youth. The Mayweather v McGregor fight holds little interest for me. The sport has been in a downward spiral for quite a while now and in my estimation has reached a new depth. As far as I'm concerned these two clowns deserve each other. I'll be making no effort to watch it.

...I bet if Mayweather eats it you'll make an effort! But yeah even I know that's not gonna happen :(

Nah, simply not interested in these characters as a legitimate bout.

mcgregor ... what an arse-wipe. needs to be drug tested, and looking like Tyson when he was off the rails.

Put in his place easy enough. I'd say talk is cheap, but 30 mill purse guaranteed win or lose, so I guess worth making an arse out of yourself.

100 mill for Mayweather, worth fighting what equates to an exhibition fight with a non boxer. What was mcG thinking, beside paycheck. Can't fault him for that.

It was always going to be a tough night for MCGregor, taking away 80% of your weapons (Kicks, Knees, Elbows, grappling, groundwork) and entering another mans ring, particularly that of a world champ with a 49-0 record was a tough ask.

Au contraire, I consider making an ass out of you my civic duty.
