I’ve never come across mashed Brussels Sprouts before

All dutch to me but sounds like hearty food anytime of the day

Cannot possibly be an invented dish becaise not many sunday roasts were sold and left with loads of brussels sprouts to use up

Just to confirm with the breakfast,the white pudding was hidden under the black pudding

Maybe a sort of hybrid bubble & squeak.
Google AI says mashed sprouts are a dish from the Netherlands & I think the owner is from Belgium so it could be a cross border thing.

Gossip update.
I now understand the owner is Dutch which probably explains the mashed sprouts on the menu

I have to confess I’m partial to roastie spuds.
There used to be a stall at the back end of UD Town food street that sold partially roasted spuds to finish off in an air fryer that were excellent.
The large kebabs & lasagne were good too
