All dutch to me but sounds like hearty food anytime of the day 8-)

Cannot possibly be an invented dish becaise not many sunday roasts were sold and left with loads of brussels sprouts to use up :ugeek:

Just to confirm with the breakfast,the white pudding was hidden under the black pudding :shock: 8-)

Maybe a sort of hybrid bubble & squeak.
Google AI says mashed sprouts are a dish from the Netherlands & I think the owner is from Belgium so it could be a cross border thing.

Thought he might be dutch irish (mother) as does sound like,as you have said,a dutch type dish.

No idea about belgium sprout recipes

I now understand the owner is Dutch which probably explains the mashed sprouts on the menu

I have to confess I’m partial to roastie spuds.
There used to be a stall at the back end of UD Town food street that sold partially roasted spuds to finish off in an air fryer that were excellent.
The large kebabs & lasagne were good too
