Pizza Champions Restaurant

Pizza for lunch today and it was very good (or in LA's words "tasty"). I ordered the Capricciosa (Ham, Mushroom & Olives) with tomato base. The only thing lacking for me was not enough tomato sauce, I like it saucy and only had a thin layer of brushed on tomato sauce. Pizza crust was thin Italian style with 100% real toppings.

The menu indicates 12" pizzas, but the pizza was closer to 10". The wood serving platter the pizza was served on was 12". The cost was 195bt and comparable in price to other restaurants serving pizza.

From my Udon pizza eating experience I would rated this way:

1. Piccolo Roma (I believe only open evenings)
2. Papagallos (open for lunch, but selling up)
3. White Box (open evenings only)
4. Pizza Champions (open 11:00-2100)
5. Little Italian Restaurant (sampled 2 weeks ago) pizza crust was very buttery tasting, it over whelmed the pizza, maybe a one off I don't know.
6. Pizza Co. ( my kids preference)

Staff is limited, as far I can tell the young lady preparing the pizza also takes orders and serves. Wait time was about 20mins with no customers. Pizza to go available, but no delivery. Open from 11:00-2100.

Pizza Champions is located at AEK hospital, before entering the car park/garage. Indoors/outdoors dining, the drawback to dining al fresco is a loud air compressor noise emanating from across the way from the hospital.

Final note for those that it matters, restrooms were clean and sparkling, western style with your choice of ass wipe or sprayer.

OK Pizza at Tesco's is my favorite, and you never have to wait. Always some ready to go.

White Box is still my favorite for every day and for price. ;)

Thanks for that review, PG! I might have to pop in and try it if it is that close in value to White Box.
